Planets in the solar system

Introduction:
Let's run through the entire solar system and learn all about the planets in the solar system so you can learn more if you like. :) enjoy !! :)

The first planet that we to travel is the Mercury as you travel outward from the sun, Mercury is the closest planet in the sun. it orbits the sun at an average distance of 58 million km. and as i remember from my stock knowledge Mercury is airless and so without any significant atmosphere to hold in the heat. Mercury also is the smallest planet in the solar system and measuring 4879 km across to its equator.

The second planet from the sun is Venus, Venus has the virtual twin of earth in terms of size and mass, Venus orbits at an average distance of 108 million km. and completes an orbit around the sun every 224 days. apart from the size, Venus is different from earth because if you could stand on the surface of Venus,  you would experience 92 times the pressure of earth's atmosphere and as i know several spacecraft visited Venus and a few landers have actually made it down.

The third planet is our home the Earth. it orbits the sun at an average distance of 150 million km. Earth is the only planet in the solar system known to support life. the Earth has a solid core of iron surrounded by a liquid outer core that generates a magnetic field that also helps protect life on Earth from the radiation of space and base on my research thousands of spacecraft have been launched to study the planet to measure it's atmosphere, landmasses, water, vegetation, and human impact.
and Earth has only a single moon"the Moon"

The 4th planet from the sun is Mars. the second smallest planet in the solar system. it orbits the sun at an distance of 228 million km. I was thinking that Mars is a large planet but my elementary teacher said that Mars is a tiny world with about half the diameter of earth and just 1/10th the mass. if you could stand on the surface of Mars you'd experience about 1/3rd's earth's gravity that was i remember when my elementary teacher explain about Mars and the other solar system and base on my research Mars has two tiny asteroid-sized moon the Phobus and Deimos.

The Jupiter mighty Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system it's so large in fact, Jupiter has a 2.5 times times the mass of all the rest planet in the solar system combined. Jupiter orbits from the sun at an average distance of  779 million km. it's diameter is 142,984 km. across. you could fit 11 earth's side by side and still have a little room.and Jupiter is almost entirely made up of hydrogen and helium with trace amounts of other elements and as what i remember only Galileo spacecraft has ever gone into orbit around Jupiter and Jupiter has the most moon in the solar system it has 63 moons.

The Saturn, Saturn the 6th planet from the sun and the 2ND largest planet in the solar system. it orbits the sun at an average distance of 1.4 billion km. Saturn measures 120,000 km. across only a little less than Jupiter. but Saturn has much less mass and do it has a low density and the most amazing feature of Saturn is its ring. these are made of  particles of ice ranging in size from a grains of sand to the size of a car. some scientist think the rings are only a few hundred million years old. and base of my research only Cassini has actually gone into orbit around the Saturn and has captured thousands of image of planet and it's moon, Saturn has a total of 60 moons discovered ( so far ).

Next comes Uranus, the 7th planet from the sun. it orbits the sun at an average distance of 2.9 billion km. Uranus measures 51,000 km across and Uranus is the 3rd largest planet in the solar system. while all the planets are tilted on their axes, Uranus is tilted over almost on it's side. Uranus was the first planet to be discovered with a telescope. it was first recognize as a planet planet in 1781 by William Herschel. and only one spacecraft Voyager 2 has ever visited Uranus up close. it passed by the planet in 1986 and captured the first close images.and Uranus has 27 known moons.

The Neptune, Neptune is the 8th planet and final planet in the solar system, orbiting at an average distance of 4.5 billion km from the sun. it's the 4th largest planet, measuring about 49,000 km across. it might not be as big as Jupiter but still 3.8 times larger than Earth. Neptune is the second planet discovered in modern times. it was discovered at the same time by both Urbain Le Verrier and john couch Adams. Neptune has known 13 moons.

And those are the planet in the solar system unfortunately planet Pluto is not a planet any more.

                                          God Bless!!!!
